I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

As a stylist, my job is to take inspiration I find in beautiful objects–whether it’s from a pattern, unique lamp shape, color combination in a cocktail, or attitude in a pose and recreate an interpretation of those elements. I thought I’d share with you how that can be done for your own wedding. Here is a new little series called “Inspiration Becomes a Wedding” (that’s a working title–got another creative name we should call it?). We’re taking some great inspiration from items and images on Pinterest and turning them into wedding elements!

We think you will too.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to collaborate with one of our new Grey Collective members, Ka-mil-yin, which is a brilliantly creative company that will bring a custom fragrance bar to an event, where guests have the chance find a one-of-a-kind custom scent according to what they love! We had so much fun with owner, Courtney, who made scent “bouquets” combining varieties of essential oils until we found a combination that we loved! To accompany the idea, I called on botanical stylist, Lauryl Lane, who created gorgeous bouquets that were the perfect compliment to all the perfumes! The ever so lovely Amy Clarke (another Grey Collective Member!) is responsible for the gorgeous hair and make-up! The gorgeous calligraphy labels are by Cherish Paperie!

Our fave photographer (and collective member as well) Jen Huang, photographed all the images for us! The ever-so-lovely Erica from Twine Events was our gracious model. I hope you love our collaboration! I actually think this idea might work great for a small bridesmaid luncheon, so that you’d have a chance to spoil your nearest and dearest!

Ladies! We heart StyleMint. I just recently had the chance to order a bundle of goodies and I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I’ve had pairing up my pile of basic tees in a variety of ways. First off, we adore the StyleMint Pinterest page, where they collect tons of inspiration for how to wear the basic tee with style:

Even pretty Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere got in on the action (why is she so dang cute?):

We love the idea that these affordable tees are meant to be style in millions of genius ways (which the StyleMint team actually helps you do, with monthly guests stylists, like Emily above).

StyleMint is a membership-only, e-commerce site that offers amazing T Shirts for the wonderfully affordable price of $29.99. Heck of a deal. Here are some of the picks that I’m having fun with: Wilshire // the Arden // the Broadway Dress // Charlton // Waverly
