We think you will too.

A few months ago I had the absolute privilege of styling the uber famous/talented/rad wedding photographer, Jasmine Star. The images are now featured on the cover of her new magazine, Exposed (which you can pick up a copy of here and read about here and here)! Our shoot was such a blast…we styled several looks for Jasmine and had her rocking the camera!

The mad skills photographer who created these images is none other than Trever Hoehne! I thought I’d share with you some of my fave looks that we put together for Jasmine! If you are a photographer, aspiring photographer, or even business owner, the magazine offers wonderful business insight, advice, and encouragement.

Hope you enjoy the images!

We had sooooo many beautiful images from our Punch Drunk Love wedding shoot that I styled for the new issue of Southern Weddings Magazine, that we couldn’t resist a double post! If you haven’t seen the first feature with all of our vendors, you can head here!

I still love love love the idea of a fun afternoon cake and punch reception with casual romance that’s still very stylish and fashionable while absolutely affordable. Here are lots more of our shoot with images by Bradeon Flynn, styling by Summer Watkins and Cortnie Purdy, and stationery by MaeMae Paperie.

Peachtree Road Punch:
Grilled peaches, pomegranate molasses, peach bitters, lemon water, and old potrero rye, garnish with candied peach.

Tennessee Punch:
Mint-Vanilla Bean Lemonade, No 3 Gin, Sauvignon Blanc, garnish with mint sprig.

Porch Swing Punch:
Homemade Sun Tea, Kanon Vodka, fresh pressed Meyer lemon, pickled lemon rind for garnish.

Sometime last spring, the editors of Southern Weddings Magazine asked me to put together a “Southern by Design” shoot to be featured in their 4th issue. In talking with the editors, they asked us to re-imagine the very southern classic “Cake and Punch” reception. I wrangled my darling/uber talented friend, Cortnie of Canvas and Canopy to help me style a beautiful shoot at Condor’s Nest Ranch! FILM photographer, Braedon Flynn brought his rad skills to the table and we had an absolute blast putting together a party that is both chic and totally doable! (Think of all the money you’ll save with a cake and punch reception instead of chicken and steak!)

For our sassy afternoon reception, we selected a short Marchesa gown from Gabriella New York Bridal Salon. For our Kate Middleton inspired headpieces, we enlisted Lo Boheme for custom pieces that added so much personality and spunk! Our hair and make up artist, Kacee Geoffroy helped us accomplish a fresh look with modern pops of color! We completed the looks with gorgeous jewelry created and provided by Noaki Jewelry.

Old mismatch forks were dipped in paint and we sourced tons of vintage punch bowls and cups from thrift stores! The punch cups served as place cards with calligraphy by Nancy Hopkins. The beautiful cakes were by Erica O’Brien with that ADORABLE “We’ll Have Our Cake and Eat It Too” cake server by Monkeys Always Look (who offers custom design AAAAND has a line coming out with Anthropologie very soon!).

We have so much more to share with you! Check back in later today for lots more images, a behind the scenes video AND some really fun recipes created just for us by Snake Oil Cocktails!

We’re sending you off for the weekend with a little tid bit from a recent Exquisite Weddings Magazine shoot that I worked on. I had the honor of contributing wardrobe and prop styling for a really fun concept that focused on the bridal party. I’ll be sharing more from this shoot later, but for now, here are some fun shots of the groomsmen doing preppy man things–drinking scotch, smoking pipes, and competing. (When it comes to styling your bridal party, I think letting the fellas be unique and show off their style is another really wonderful way to add some personality to their wedding day look.)

The team came up with an “irreverent preppy” concept which was really fun to bring to life.  This beautiful photography is by She Wanders! A complete list of all the rad vendors that made this possible is below! If you want to see more from the shoot, pick up (or order) Exquisite Weddings Magazine which is on newsstands now!
