I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

I’m so excited to finally be able to share with you all the details and images from my first ever workshop, Shoot This Not That! We hosted the three day experience up in Napa and Sonoma, which made for an absolutely stunning backdrop!!! I was so ridiculously lucky that the girls from The Collection Event Studio, up in Sonoma reached out to get involved. They really made everything come together perfectly, and it’s really a testament to finding great resources like theirs (which is a wedding library of sorts) because they were able to make great suggestions for vendors, eateries, and everything else you can possibly imagine. (Perfect for planning a destination wedding! *hint hint).

There are so many vendors that I’m excited to tell you about, and I could not begin to express how thankful I am for each of them for joining in the fun. Buckle your seat belts. We’re gonna take things slow, but I’ve got lots to share with you over the next few days, starting off with some of the gorgeous images from the shoot. These beauties were kindly provided by some of our lovely photographer attendees (who took a leap of faith on our first workshop…I could not be more grateful!): Kelly Hornberger, Lori Paladino, Deborah Zoe and Marin Kristine.

First up, check out a few images of our hosts, Scribe Winery (dream venue for intimate gatherings) which has so many rustic details just laying around you might call it a “photographer’s dream”.

Our color story for the photo shoot revolved around neon yellow. It was a bit of a challenge getting the idea to still feel bridal, but thanks to the insanely talented florist, Lidia of La Fleuriste, it all really came together beautifully.

I was SOOO excited to get to meet Amanda from One True Love Vintage Rentals (she’s one of our Grey Likes Vendors!). She drove in from San Francisco with some beautiful rental pieces that made everything look perfect. And that gorg cake is by Inticing Creations.

We were also lucky to have some killer hair and make-up artists come in for us! Stella rocked our model’s hair while Audrey did a smashing job with the make-up. Thank you ladies!

Megan from Mae Mae Paperie provided all of our paper design. You’ll see more of the paper in our next few posts, because she did a crazy fabulous job.

Later this week, we’ll share more from our class time at The Collection Event Studio (which is the most rad wedding store/vendor library/anthropologie-gone-love-situation you’ll ever see). We’ll also take a peek at our styled wine dinner, show you some of the places we got to grub (because food found it’s place of ultimate perfection when it came to Napa), share with you some great testimonials, and of course, keep it all going with the pretty details and awesome vendors. So stay tuned!

You may or may not have noticed, but the insanely lovely BHLDN is continuing to expand their line of bridal goodness. They’ve now added all sorts of decor, favor, paper, and detailings that you’ve got to check out! I though I’d put together a collection of some of my faves for you.

I’m about to change your life with an unbelievably amazing Etsy store that is going to have you set for crafts, ad infinitum. If you are planning a special Valentine’s day DIY, you MUST head over to Inspire Lovely’s shop to pick up a cart full of these irresistibles:

If you aren’t in the know about Confetti Systems, let me break it down for you: custom, sparkly, tassels, garland. Um??? Does it get any better? Josh Meredith of Bella Grace Studios just sent over a few snapshots of their new studio and I was so inspired, I couldn’t resist sharing. Not only are Confetti System products great for a wedding or shower, but they are also so fun to use in your space after. That’s a win-win in my book. I’m also feeling a little Valentine inspiration here. NO?

UPDATE: Here’s a link to the Confetti System shop!

As we all know, when it comes to planning a wedding, one of the most difficult processes can be creating a guest list. Cutting that list is one of the most effective ways to save money, but it can be a fairly emotional process deciding which of your potential guests deserves a spot on the final list. Deciding whether or not to include children on the invite is another quandary for many brides. If you do decide to include young guests, it always helps to provide them with a few trinkets and treats to keep them occupied. I just recently stumbled across these bright pillow boxes from Cute Tape made especially for little ones. They are super easy and doubly adorable.
