Priscilla and Torin’s wedding, designed and planned by Gatherist, is absolutely stunning. First of all, the scenic views from the Blue Boar Inn in Midway, Utah are breathtaking—specifically the blooming trees against the backdrop of mountains. Second of all, the incredible color palette with shades of magenta, red and bold blue is such an exciting contrast to the rustic appeal of the location and the perfect iteration of the couple’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream inspiration. We also love the touches of romantic glam—from the beading on the bride’s Hayley Paige gown, to gilded ferns on the cake, to gorgeous rose creations by Flourish by Kay , to the princess-inspired flower girl dresses. These gorgeous photos by D’Arcy Benincosa help to prove that you can mix and match styles and moods to create a totally unique and personal day without sacrificing an ounce of elegance or a bit of interest.
From the Bride:
For us, the most important aspect of planning the wedding was the creation of a lifetime of memories. We wanted to be able to think back to that day and have those memories encased in love and infinite happiness. To achieve this, we surrounded ourselves with some of the best people in the industry, primarily Emmily Jones of The Gatherist and D’Arcy Benincosa. From day one, these lovely people sought tirelessly to accomplish our vision and followed what inspired us.
Early on, Torin and I felt that A Midsummer Night’s Dream would perfectly encompass our vision of an intimate, romantic, and magical night. Our inspiration came to full realization when we stumbled across the Blue Boar Inn. The inn fulfilled every dream with its rustic European feel. The halls were lined with rooms dedicated to famous poets and authors of old. But what ultimately inspired us was each other. All the beautiful lights and fragrant flowers paled in comparison to the moment we became man and wife and basked in the love that surrounded us from our friends and family.
FROM THE STYLIST:
Priscilla and Torin are both romantics at heart. They have a passion for poetry, literature, and meaningful anecdotes. Reflecting their love of Shakespeare, they chose to base their overall wedding design and atmosphere on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. By adding magical bulb lighting to the perfect European-style lush outdoor venue, naming the tables after the play’s characters, and incorporating various other personality & Shakespearean details, every aspect of their wedding projected meaning and character. They also had most of their guests stay at their venue, which happened to be a perfectly on-point bed and breakfast. All rooms are named after literary authors, with the married couple in the Shakespeare suite. D’Arcy captured Pri & Torin’s romantic souls and complimentary details beautifully.
