We’re always on board with a modern-glam wedding like this one from Anna Delores Photography. SO GORGEOUS! Marie and Louis’ reception Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills highlighted the elegant venue with classic choices like beautiful white florals by Karen’s Garden and a lovely three-tiered, ruffly cake by The Butter End. We love the timelessness of the couple’s beautiful big day!
What made the wedding special and unique?
There were many things that made our wedding special and unique! What made it most special was that we planned it all on our own and we stayed true to the vision we had in mind. We had a wonderful wedding coordinator from The Peninsula who was absolutely incredible and executed every detail perfectly! Our wedding and reception was everything we imagined. After seeing everything come to life, it was absolutely surreal and truly special!
Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!
My wedding dress is custom Winnie Couture! I visited their salon in Beverly Hills with my two sisters and mother. It actually was the first dress I tried on and after trying on 5 other dress I knew my first choice was the one!
What were some touches added to make it personal?
As a tribute to my Filipino culture, we included a veil and cord blessing during the ceremony. The cord, which is a gold and pearl rosary, was custom made in the Philippines and a gift from my Aunt. In addition, both Louis and I love hydrangeas so that was integral in our floral scheme. Besides keeping our guest count to under 80 guests, we had a string quartet at both the ceremony and reception to keep the mood both elegant and classic.
What was the most memorable part of the day?
The entire day was so filled with love and joy we wanted to remember every single second of it! Both the Father-Bride and Mother-Groom dances were tremendous and very touching, but I think my most favorite moment was at the end of the night when my husband and I were walking through a siege of wedding sparklers at the conclusion of our reception. It was so special having all of our friends and family give us a great send off.
Tell us how you met and became engaged.
Louis and I met at Pepperdine University through a mutual professor. After five years of dating, Louis proposed to me the day before my birthday in a helicopter ride over Malibu hovering above Pepperdine University! It was so magical I still can’t remember what he even said! I just remember saying yes!
