Bride Katie, a journalist, has traveled the world chasing stories and residing in places like Abu Dhabi with her groom Ben. But when it came time to plan their wedding, the couple sought the comforts of home—Katie’s parents’ home of St. Michaels, Maryland to be exact. The couple spent many a weekend in the quaint Eastern Shore town while living in D.C., and knew it would provide the perfect backdrop for the elegant yet relaxed celebration they enlisted Kari Rider Events to help them plan. As a nod to the maritime culture of St. Michaels, the team including florist Seaberry Farm, contrasted brilliant whites with hints of dusty blue and gold to create a scene that perfectly complemented the venue’s coastal vibe. Photographer Perry Vaile worked her fine art magic capturing all the beautiful details and scenes of the day, including some stunning bride and groom portraits in between rain showers.
