I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Tuscany is one of the most popular elopement destinations in Italy. Most couples marry during the summer months, but the fall season has its own advantages, namely in the lack of crowds and tourists, but also the beautiful colors of the landscape. Weddings in Tuscany designed this stunning shoot at Villa Catignano to celebrate the visual potential of an autumn Italian elopement incorporating the palette of the season with browns and neutrals, along with shades of red from the vineyards and the foliage, lilac and pastel for the sunset and bright greens found throughout Tuscany. Heaven Flowers created the lovely florals, Sprekelmann lended her talented hand with the calligraphy and Esther and Gabe Fine Art Photography captured it all in these dreamy images.

Helaina Storey Wedding Design developed the concept for this Organic Chateau Love Story based around the authentic French setting of Chateau de Redon. It’s a mix of  rustic-chic and luxurious, contemporary, high-end interiors. Opting for a palette of stony neutrals and pale, dusky greys, the team incorporated different textures in the stationery by Bureau Design, ribbons by Kate Cullen and gowns from Luna Bride. We’re especially loving the abundant floral installations and greenery from BloomologieAnneli Marinovich Photography was behind the lens capturing all the details in these fine art images.

From the stylist : It was absolutely key that the editorial be as authentic as possible and work seamlessly within its surroundings. The natural chemistry of our ‘couple’ played the perfect part in achieving this, along with most of the foliage being foraged from within the extensive, beautiful grounds of Chateau de Redon.

Our bride wore two stunning clean and crisp designs by Luna Bride, both encapsulating the minimalist vibe of the shoot and reflecting the modern, luxe interiors, along with natural, understated makeup and tousled, laid-back locks, styled by AMM Team.

A full stationery suite by Bureau Design also followed our theme of raw, elegant simplicity and our stand out features were Bloomologie’s spectacular floral arch, pampas grass ceremony altar and the most incredible, wild and natural green and white piece for Redon’s glorious winding staircase.

The outdoor tablescape was designed to work in juxtaposition with its backdrop and included modern, grey masters chairs from Wedhead London and concrete candlestick holders with simple tableware and natural, unstructured blooms for color and texture. Blossom and Crumb’s perfectly pared-back cake design was styled with fruits and foliage from the grounds, in keeping with and inspired by the rest of our organic and authentic concept.

The narrative was a sweet, simple and natural, intimate destination wedding in a contemporary, rustic, boutique setting with stunning views across the Dordogne, France. Chateau de Redon creates the utterly perfect ambience for this.

Planner Gabby of Banks & Leaf and photographer Lisa O Dwyer came together at Ireland’s historic Gloster House to produce this breathtaking inspiration shoot. The estate of the venue is stunning with old-world architecture and landscapes while the moody glam of the details give it a fresh, romantic tone. Rose-centric florals by Dash Caffrey are gathered and gorgeous, Lenka Calligraphy updates classic calligraphy with bold colors and whimsical lettering, and Cupcakes and Counting steals the show with a spectacular three-tiered black cake with gold leafing and decadent sugar roses. The story of this inspiration shoot is of a beautiful red-haired Irish girl who lives in a very classical romantic country house in the countryside. She falls in love with a city-boy from Dublin. She shows him the beauty of the Irish countryside and the classical beauty of the house where she grew up. She envisions two looks for her wedding.

In the first look with a gold silk dress from House of Delphine (a French designer living in County Kerry), she is the Irish Queen Maebh. The meaning of the Irish of her name is “she who intoxicates” or “mead woman” (mead is the Celtic honey-wine which is the origin of the word “honeymoon”). Her crystal crown is from Gems & Bones. Her bouquet has tones of copper and autumn, foraged around the florist’s property in County Cavan.

The second look that the bride envisions is classic and timeless, a white lace dress and veil by House of Delphine. The lace reminds her of her ancestors and the legacy of her family and Irish lace-making. Her bouquet is lush with tones of red. The red reminds her that winter is coming and that the red berries of the rowan tree and holly will be decorating the Irish landscape.

The dinner will be set for the wedding inside her home at Gloster House. She loves the dark richness of the centuries-old family table for the wedding meal. She has a dark cake with handmade sugar flowers by Cup Cakes and Counting. Her stationery is in navy, cream, crimson, and gold by Lenka Calligraphy. Her family heirlooms play a part in the dinner setting…she is home for now.

We’re never ones to shy away from a bold color palette here at Grey Likes Weddings, so you can imagine our delight in the punchy, coral hues of Kaitlin and Adam’s nuptials at King Family Vineyards. The bride, a wedding planner herself at Bluebird Productions, had a strong vision for the details of the day—a gold leafed horseshoe escort card display, custom barnwood doors, and abundant florals in rich colors by Prema StyleKate and Lily Flowers. Adam and I have been best friends for almost 12 years. We have always shared a love for travel and the outdoors and a few years into our relationship we took a leap and moved across the country to Aspen, Colorado where I worked as a wedding planner and Adam worked in hospitality. From packing up our lives in two weeks and driving across the country to living in a 273 square foot apartment, the adventure cemented our relationship. Some of our favorite memories as a couple are from long summer hikes in the Rockies and weekends spent skiing and snowboarding down the slopes of Aspen mountain.

Adam pulled off a surprise proposal in my favorite spot in Aspen, complete with champagne, rose petals, chocolate covered strawberries, a hidden photographer, and perfectly timed snowfall! I was eager to start planning since I had spent the past two years turning other brides visions into reality. Adam and I knew that we wanted a wedding venue with a southern feel that was driving distance from our home town of Potomac, Maryland. After searching a number of venues close by, my boss (and wedding planner) Virginia suggested we visit Charlottesville. We immediately fell in love with the rolling hills and quaint pastures of Southern Virginia and when we found King Family Vineyard we knew it was the place for us.

Between my time planning weddings with Bluebird Productions and growing up with my mom, a color and style consultant and florist, I knew from the beginning that I would enjoy putting together the creative details for our big day. It was important to me that the deep rich colors of fall be incorporated in the floral and décor and I have always loved gold accents. Everything about the design of our wedding was a family affair. My veil was handmade by my mom and we spent hours picking out the vases for the flowers, selecting just the right color of velvet ribbon, and gold leafing the horse shoes for the escort card display while my dad built the chuppah for our ceremony and the custom barn wood bars for the reception.

For Adam and I, the most important part of the day was celebrating with our friends and family. After four years of friendship and seven years of dating, our tight knit family had watched us challenge each other, laugh together, and grow as individuals and as partners. We are fortunate that so many people in our lives were willing to travel to share in our celebration and enjoyed every minute of the weekend celebration.
