I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

“The smoothness and softness found in a perfectly chosen piece of cloth; the delicate elegance and brilliance of fine velvet.” This—the soft allure of velvet—inspired Rainbow Chan Weddings and Events  to create this stunning Vintage Velvet inspiration shoot. Set against the pristine elegance of Toronto’s historic The Great Hall, the details come together in a color scheme of vanilla white, slate, dusty blue, and lush natural green. Bouquets and floral furnishings by Wild North Flowers add vibrancy. A textural, calligraphy stationery suite by Ivory and Twine Co adds a timeless touch while introducing a slim velvet bow, a theme repeated in the perfectly understated cake by Rococoa Butter. The team enlisted the skills of film photographer, Muguet Photography, to capture all the details and wonderfully soft embrace of Vintage Velvet.

Walls made of flowers, arrangements as extravagant as they come, a custom moss aisle runner as earthy as it is luxurious, silk ribbons and velvet in hand-dyed colors—the details in today’s shoot make for an aesthetic that’s lush, layered, and intriguing all at once. Francine Ribeau Events designed the over-the-top garden party details in a sophisticated, eye-popping palette—pink and peach florals by BLOOMS by Breesa Lee play perfectly against dusty blue ties and textiles, while pops of orange and gold add a little something light and bright to this summer garden affair. Rochelle Cheever was behind the lens at Rancho Valencia capturing it all—from the shoes to the hot air ballon!

The team behind this Dark Romance inspiration shoot took their design cues from the moody floral wallpaper adorning the halls of the Hotel Monaco. Rich, velvety textures and candlelit details exude the very essence of modern romance. Calligraphy stationery is by Judith Browne, jewel-toned florals are by Posy and dramatic cakes are by The Butterwood Bake Consortium. Floral accessories like the bride’s Ted Baker shoes and groom’s dinner jacket add modern flair and Grey Collective member Palermo Photo was on hand to capture all the drama and the details in these film photographs.

Warm-hued ocean coral provided the inspiration for this romantic Costa Rican photo shoot. Perched along a hillside overlooking Tamarindo’s bay, Casa Puros Dieces gave the team—Tropical Occasions and Emily March Photography—a modern and minimalist space to highlight the organic hues of deep orange and rusty red and local beach combed shell inspiration. ArtFlower created stunning textural arrangements and Alexis Aguero nailed it with the letterpress calligraphy in a rusty hue that feels incredibly fresh and current. Emily March Photography was behind the lens to perfectly capture all the lovely inspiration.
