Lauren & Robert’s wedding at the Thomas Bennett House
featuring Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay
Lauren and Robert had a white wedding, literally. Designed by A Charleston Bride, the wedding design’s absence of color gave the southern affair a glamorous appeal, highlighted by large white bellowing drapes, vintage 1920’s crystal chandeliers, a white-on-white dance floor and lounge, and tons of gorgeous white blooms by A Charleston Bride. The trusty team of Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay were behind the lens to capture all the details of the bright and modern souther wedding celebration. Enjoy!
What made the wedding special and unique?
We chose Charleston which was a new destination for all of our friends and family (as most are from NY) to experience the amazing food, warm ambiance, and southern charm.
Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!
The gown was designed by Austin Scarlett called the “CHLOE”. I had an appointment at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset to just browse at dresses and they happen to have an Austin Scarlett trunk show that day. I got to meet the designer Austin (from Project Runway) and he even sent me an autographed sketch of the dress.
What were some touches added to make it personal?
I loved the fact that was I able to personalize every aspect of the wedding from the wood tables mixed with the crystal chandeliers to the menu and band. It was a true reflection of who Rob and I are as a couple. One of our favorite touches were the images of our loved ones that are no longer with us decorating the trees in the beautiful garden where our ceremony was held.
What was the most memorable part of the day?
Our first look was one of the most memorable moments of the day. We were both filled with so much excitement and eager to get the party started!
Tell us how you met and became engaged.
We are college sweethearts (met at State of New York Oneonta). Rob proposed to me in the kitchen of our new house with the help of our handsome Pit Bull Dexter. He had the engagement ring around his collar.
