I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Both biologists, Jenn and Brian met during field work that brought them to Sarasota, Florida to study Bottlenose dolphins. However, at the time, both were in enrolled in graduate school- in different states. Despite the distance between them, they committed to making it work, making time in between coursework and research, and commuting four hours each way to see each other. Fast forward eight years and two doctorate degrees later, Brian proposed on a celebratory road trip through Alaska after a long day of hiking and fishing in the rain, tucked away in a secluded cabin overlooking beautiful Resurrection Bay. They are planning an intimate destination wedding this fall in the city where they met, Charleston, South Carolina.

Very special thanks to Erin McGinn Photography for sharing her work with us! If only I lived in Florida–this setting is a dream!

From Erin: Jenn and Brian are currently living in Sarasota, Florida and work at Mote Marine Lab.  Both being PhD’s in Marine Biology, Jenn and Brian spend all their working hours by the sea, but also love to even spend their weekends on the water grabbing their boards when the waves allow and heading to the beach, so we thought that would be the perfect thing to do for their engagement session.  Our shoot fell on a very misty afternoon, which added to the romantic ambiance of the pictures, a truly different way to see the Sunshine State.
