Today’s sweet Georgia wedding comes to us from the stationery designer behind the DARLING online paper boutique, The Nimbus Factory. Owner, designer, and stylist extraordinaire, Claire, was a beautiful bride and planned a super personal wedding for her and her new husband, Eddie. We thought we’d let her share with you a bit more about the special day. Very special thanks to Jade + Matthew Take Pictures for letting us feature their beautiful images!
Eddie and I met in Savannah back in spring of 2010. He asked me out, I said no, he asked me out again, I said yes, we smiled a lot, drank sweet tea, and roamed around Savannah with not a care in the world. A little over a year later, he got down on one knee under the gazebo in one of my favorite spots in Savannah (Whitefield Square). Me, being a designer and lover of all things handmade, and Eddie being a typical groom, he let me go crazy in styling our wedding. The theme? I guess you could call it lowcountry charm with plenty of handmade love. Since Eddie is an engineer and we both have a fascination with trains, we agreed that the Roundhouse Railroad Museum was the perfect backdrop for our reception. The rustic, relaxed vibe in the heart of downtown was exactly how we wanted our guests to experience Savannah.
Our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect and we are so thankful for the crew of family and friends who were so dedicated in helping us make that day so darn special!
