Happy weekend darlings! Guess what I am doing tomorrow??? Going to my bridal shower!!!! I can’t tell you how excited I am. One of the things that has surprised me about the whole wedding process is the uncomfortable feeling of letting people “shower” you. My bridesmaids have been working so hard on the shower, and it’s so humbling. I have weepy moments every time I see how much work has gone into the planning. Are you kidding? All this for me? No. I can’t. This is just way too much–it’s so much easier being the person doing this kind of thing for others!!! I love to serve others and throw showers, but accepting such generosity? It’s much harder than I thought it would be. All that to say, hopefully I can make it through tomorrow without completely breaking down in sobs. We are going to be sure to have a photographer on hand, so you’ll get to see the entire play-by-play, don’t worry!
But I’d love to know…as a bride, did you find it a little tough to accept all of the effort, time, and gifts poured out over you? Or do I sound completely crazy?
Anyhow, as we head off into the wonderful weekend, I wanted to show you this cake by City View Bakehouse which was featured on Wedding Chicks. I love it so much!! (You must see the entire feature shot by Rachel Peters Photography.)
If I were a cake, this is the dress I’d wear:
Lastly, we are excited to let you know that the winner of our menu card giveaway hosted by The Memory Trunk is “The Future Mrs. Kristina Beaver”! Congratulations!
