I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

First off, a big congratulations to any of you new readers who were recently engaged over the holiday week! So exciting!

Before we dive head first into winter inspiration, we’ve got some gorgeous fall goodies to finish out November. This styled shoot brought together a group of British Columbia vendors and I had to wait until you were settled back at work to hit you with this romantic color.

Photographer Mikaela Ruth put together an amazing team, and of course, is responsible for catching all these beautiful images! Colleen Sawatsky of Vintage Home, styled the look of the shoot, with the help of Whitney Barkman, who whipped up these pretty concoctions. On the menu? Macaroons with raspberry ganache, and chocolate cupcakes and chocolate layer cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. Kari of Confetti Floral designed all the gorgeous florals (do fall colors get any more lovely?) and Ashley King of Wedded Bliss styled the beautiful bride. Magdalene of Saar Bank Farms rent their gorgeous barn for weddings and receptions and graciously gave the team free reign of the place. The barn is fully booked for 2011! But for inquiries beyond next year are happily accepted!

We think you will too.

As promised, here are some of the gorgeous images captured for The Mermaid and The Sea Captain. My favorite part of the shoot is the old wood table top–so creative! Be sure to check out the handmade water color invites by Sara of Griffin-vites, and the close-ups of the gorgeous flowers by Kate of Beautiful Days. Kate and Sara made a great styling duo! And of course, all these pretties were shot by Brea McDonald Photography. LOVE!

Additional vendors include: Wardrobe: Occasions Bridal and Tuxedo. Videography: Meg Simone Films. (Check out the video here).

Today, I have the honor of featuring an inspiration to reality photo shoot put together by Sara of Griffin-vites, and Kate of Beautiful Days. Before I share the still images of the shoot (photographed by Brea McDonald Photography), I wanted you to see the backstage video shot by Meg Simone Films. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like behind-the-scenes of a photo shoot, this video offers an awesome glimpse! I especially love the stylist and photographer sharing some of the thought process used when constructing a story for their shoot. This is something that stylists do to help guide their design choices, and this type of concepting can even be great when designing your own wedding! I hope you love the video!

Be sure to check back later today for the images from this shoot! (And if you don’t “like” Grey yet, you ought to–giveaway winner is announced at the end of the day!)

Our final giveaway for the Grey Likes Weddings online launch party is one that I know you’re going to absolutely LOVE! Event designer Gianna of Chic Celebrations is teaming up with photographer Krista Mason to offer one lucky couple a styled photo shoot.

To give you an idea what you’ll be winning, I wanted to share a little of their work, so first up, here is a recent shoot that Gianna styled. This shoot was originally featured on Style Me Pretty, but I couldn’t resist sharing a few more images by photographer Maria Carmel and featuring Franklin + Gower suits! Additional vendors for the shoot can be seen here! These should give you a taste of Gianna’s lovely styling chops, should you be so lucky to win this giveaway!

That’s a pretty fabulous giveaway, right?! So if you live in the Southern California area (or are willing to travel to the Southern California area in the next six months) then we’d love your entry! To be considered, just leave us a little note about what type of shoot you might like to do with your honey! And if you are already married, don’t worry! Love shoots would be just as great!

First off, a little recap of Courtney’s darling shoot that she turned into a stop motion save-the-date!
