I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

So, there are pretty much NO WORDS for this gorgeous photo shoot. I can’t even begin to tell you how lucky I feel to be the first to share these images with you. Wedding designer and planner Jeannie and Alicia from Details Details (who just so happens to be planning a RAD workshop for all you aspiring coordinators out there) put together all of this loveliness in partnership with a crazy awesome list of vendors, including flowers by Bloom Box Designs and gorg photography by Samuel Lippke (who is just too good to be true).

The idea behind the shoot is a simple one: venue selection! Whether you are a destination bride, or local gal, Jeannie and her team have put together a shoot that conveys just how much an asset it can be to select a full service venue, like the Montage Beverly Hills, which is highlighted here. We’re starting off with the wedding, but later today, we’ve got another post with even more images that show how you can show up to a venue like the Montage, sit back, and fully enjoy your entire wedding weekend, taking advantage of all the resources that come with.

For reals…there are so many insanely rad vendors, including a gorgeous food such as Bay Scallop, Charred Blood Orange and Cilantro in Chinese Spoon, Cucumber Melon Soup with Lime Salt Rim, Cured Salmon Tartare, and Potato Blinis with Creme Fraiche.

Oh my goodness!! Today, I’m in absolute heaven and SOOO excited to share this wedding inspiration shoot with you. First off, as fabulous luck would have it, this shoot involves three (yes THREE) of our Grey Likes Vendors! The ever talented Kristeen LaBrot Events put together this gorgeous gorgeous shoot, while Krista Mason is responsible for such beautiful images. On top of all that, the ruffled cake is by Andrea of Superfine Bakery (yet another Grey Likes Vendor!) who has an insanely innovative and modern approach to designing cakes. I’m telling you…these gals are fabulous at what they do, and this shoot is a testament to that! There are tons more great resources and vendors involved, so check out all the credits below! Now feast your eyes on some modern glam inspiration that I’m dying to see used for a real wedding!

Yesterday on the [B] School Study Hall we announced that Miller’s Lab is sponsoring a giveaway to our Shoot This Not That photo shoot. It’s pretty easy to enter. Just tweet a mention of @greylikes and @millerslab with the hashtag #shootthisnotthat. You can tweet once a day and next Friday, we’ll pick our winner from Italy (which is where I’m flying out to tomorrow to style a wedding photo shoot with Becker and Benfield Photography). If you want to make sure you land a spot to our workshop, you can still reserve a spot, and if you win, we’ll refund your money! So it’s a win-win.

If you haven’t yet, definitely go check out our Shoot This Not That website for all the information about the workshop. It’s going to be an amazing experience!

To go along with out workshop announcement, I thought I’d share with you some more images of the recent shoot I styled at Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita down in Riviera Maya Mexico. Photographers Troy and Aimee Grover shot all these gorgeous images (and modeled!!!), Katie of Ever After Honeymoons coordinated the entire trip, Megan from MaeMae Paperie designed the absurdly darling paper suite, and Terra Amore by Jessica Charles let us borrow one of her dresses for the shoot.

I stumbled across this set of images and it got me thinking how romantic a road trip honeymoon would be. Not only would it be super affordable, but it would be such a wonderful adventure. Of course, we all can’t get a hold of a revamped vintage Airstream, but really…too cute!

It took some digging to find the original source for these images…this was shot by commercial photographer, Wendi Nordeck and was originally in Nesting Newbies. Wendy is also a stylist, which is why these images are total perfection.

Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was wonderful! I certainly soaked up the opportunity to relax, though I managed to make Pioneer Woman’s migas for brunch yesterday (I must be gearing myself up for our photo shoot at Zoetry Paraiso del Bonita in Riviera Maya next week). We’ve got some fun inspiration coming your way to give you a little sneak peek of what we’re doing, so get excited!

We’re starting today off with a fantastical Peter Pan inspired photo shoot. The childlike sentiments and young love of Peter Pan readily lends itself to imaginative interpretations. Christen and Lauren of Sassyfras Studios (a photography team of two sisters…how cute?) put together this darling shoot using themes from Peter Pan as their inspiration. I hope you’ll see from this session how fun it can be to play up specific elements such as Wendy’s the thimble “kiss”–it’s so meaningful and well-understood. Tying emotion and memories with objects can be a wonderful way to connect with guests at a wedding! Be sure to read below for a bit more info from the Sassyfras girls.

We partnered up with a few fabulous vendors to do an amazing Peter Pan Styled E-session.  The idea of youth, and love, makes me so happy.  We really wanted to focus on Wendy {Darling’s} bedroom, and the scenes where peter lost his shadow, and where they exchanged their hidden kisses.  We used alot of lines from the books, which you can see incorporated throughout the shoot. Rachael’s dress is a one of a kind from Vintage Opulence, and her shoes are Anthropologie.

The cakes and desserts {buttons cookies} were made for us specially by Cakes by Julia {Sugar}, and the hair done by Ashley Miller hair designs.  The bed set and dresser is and early 1800’s antique set that is almost identical to the one used in the 2003 Peter Pan.  The terrariums were DIY, along with the chandelier, and all of the banners.  The silverware set is from Woodenhive.  The design and lettering was done by Sassyfras.
