Wow. Last week was a total whirlwind of styling and traveling. As soon as I got back home from Vegas, I hit two more shoots. (Sunday’s shoot with T&H Photography is coming soon! Look out because it’s going to knock your socks off!) Saturday’s shoot was with Trever Hoehne, who is working with 31 Bits on an amazing project that sells jewelry made out of 100% recycled paper, posters, and magazines by internally displaced women in Northern Uganda. Reef recently picked up their line of jewelry and sandals, which is incredibly exciting. For this shoot, I did mostly wardrobe styling, although there’s a little prop styling scattered about.
How is this relevant to weddings? Engagement sessions!
When it comes to engagement sessions in particular, you can add lots of interest to your photos by taking extra time to actual style your wardrobe. Remeber a few key ingredients: layers, unexpected combinations of color, texture, and/or jewelry, and contrast! These shots by Trever are so much fun and I love how we put together a really great look that meshes perfectly with the vibe of 31 Bits jewelry.
