Katie and Patrick planned the quintessential Nantucket wedding and brought together all their family and friends for a getaway weekend full of music, sunsets, and plenty of sun and sand! We can’t get enough of Katie’s Monique Lhuillier gown, which is pretty much absolute perfection gliding along the beach! Very special thanks to photographer Brea McDonald for sharing her work with us!

What made the wedding special and unique?
We felt blessed to be able to spend the entire weekend with our guests in such a special place. It was so important to us that our guests have a great weekend and we couldn’t think of a better place to bring together our friends and family. We knew some of our guests would be traveling far to come to our wedding and we wanted to bring them together in a place that was special to us. Nantucket was a place where we knew we could create great memories with our guests.

What were some touches added to make it personal?
We asked Sarah Swain if she would play at our wedding after hearing her play many times at one of our favorite places on the Cape, the Harvest Gallery Wine Bar. Music is important to us and we wanted to have a band that reflected that – we have enjoyed listening to Sarah many times and we loved having the opportunity to share that with our friends and family.

What was the most memorable part of the day?
When everyone ran out to watch the sunset we had a moment when we were able to look around and at each other and take in how beautiful everything looked. We felt so lucky to have everyone together that day. It was such a beautiful day to be on the beach and we had a perfect gorgeous sunset to take us into the evening.
