Jocelyn and Tommy’s wedding at Bella Rose Estate

Jocelyn and Tommy’s modern boho wedding at Bella Rose Estate was planned by Konsider It Done. Florist LUX Wedding Florist transformed the venue into a romantic, bohemian oasis with dreamy, soft installations and florals at every turn. Geometric, graphic paper goods are by Freed Hands, with tons of fun rentals from Tremaine Ranch and Dang! Fine Rentals. The peach, coral and blush palette is one for the books and Rachael Koscica Photography‘s photographs couldn’t be more inspiring. It’s all pure happiness and we know you’ll love it!

What made the wedding special and unique?

Everything! But we particularly loved our modern boho style. Our wedding backdrop was AMAZING. LUX took our ideas and turned them into something better than I could have imagined. The overall affect was romantic and unique. It was quite the showstopper!

Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!

I loved my dress! I never felt more beautiful. I found it at Schaffer’s Bridal Salon in Scottsdale, AZ. I knew I wanted something with lace but otherwise I had an open mind. It was the third dress I tried on and I knew right away that it was the one. I love that it was classic and sexy all at the same time!

What were some touches added to make the wedding personal?

We had a lasso ceremony (a Filipino tradition, Tommy is half Filipino) which symbolizes unity. We had our mothers place the lasso on us, which added another special element. We said our vows within the lasso, in the shape of a figure eight, which united the two of us as one. Also, the family photos of our loved ones on our welcome table–we have a strong tradition on both sides of our family of long marriages which we wanted to honor. Tommy’s custom cigar area was a huge hit and a very personal touch specifically for him since he’s quite the cigar collector.

What was the most memorable part of the day?

The fireworks surprise from my parents!!

Tell us how you met and became engaged.

We met in pharmacy school in Arizona. We got engaged 3 years later at Yosemite National Park when we stopped for a picnic lunch on a hike in front of a waterfall!
