Kira and Jordan’s wedding, shot by Bre Thurston Photography, took place in Monterey, California, where they hosted their family and friends for a destination affair. We absolutely love the color combo of pink, peach, and grey–especially those insanely perfect roses in the bouquets by Flor De Monterey! The ocean in the background made for a perfect setting. Kira and Jordan chose their venue because it was a favorite travel destination for them over the years. The gorgeous bride told us a little more about the big day:
Jordan and I met in 2005 and have been been best friends ever since. We share a crazy/dorky sense of humor, love for coffee and red wine, and passion for adventure and travel. We married on October 6, 2012 at the Hotel InterContinental Clement, on Monterey’s Historical Cannery Row in front of 110 of our closest friends and family members. The autumn day on the bay couldn’t have been any prettier, although the breeze did pick up a bit before the ceremony, nobody seemed to mind. The venue has been a favorite destination of ours for years, so it only seemed right as the place we should say our vows! the majority of our guests hadn’t visited the area before, and we couldn’t wait to show them why we love it so much. Monterey is just wonderful this time of year. The night before the wedding we hosted everyone who came into town early for pizza and s’mores over a bonfire at Del Monte Beach- where more than 60 of the wedding guests met. It was a blast, and set the mood for a fun weekend. By the time the wedding reception rolled around it felt like everyone was longtime friends.
