We’re so excited to bring you this gorgeous wedding by Fancy That Events. It’s fully stocked with awesome details like spectacular flowers—like a bazillion roses everywhere—by Tic Tock Florals, a rainbow-hued macaron bar and an adorable couple radiating joy. Thankfully the fabulous Steve Cowell was on hand to capture all of the happiness of the day!
What made the wedding special and unique?
It was very intimate and was filled with all the faces of the people we love and were so excited to see. People had come from all over the country to be with us that day so it made everything super special.
Also my grandfather had suffered a heart attack a few weeks before the wedding so we weren’t sure if he would be able to walk me down the aisle, but he made it! That just made us so happy and thankful that it was possible for him to be with us.
Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!
I loved my gown! I didn’t want to take it off when I tried it. It’s from Mon Ami bridal in Costa Mesa and the designer is Tara Keely. I tried on 3 dresses and this was the 3rd. Just thinking about my dress makes me miss it. I wish I could wear it to work!
What was the most memorable part of the day?
The vows. We wrote our own vows and it was such a surreal moment to stand in front of all our loved ones and really pour our hearts out. The craziest part was we weren’t even nervous. I couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle. I hadn’t seen him all day and really missed him. When we finally got to hold hands I felt so happy and safe and knew the day would go well. We made a bet who would cry first…it was Wes. He still owes me money!
