How gorgeous is this wedding?! It’s giving us a whole new appreciation for the color purple. Hues like lilac, eggplant and merlot were brought together in the details, by designer Lisa Kahn Events using gorge flowers by Unique Floral Designs, for a totally glam look at Miranda and Danny’s wedding at Vibiana, a restored Cathedral-turned-event-space in downtown L.A. And can we talk about Miranda’s style?! This new momma was smokin’ on her big day with a plunging cut-out lace gown and a killer fishtail braid. Lucky for us, One Eleven Photography was on hand to capture the bride’s fabulous look and the rest of the stunning details of Miranda and Danny’s big day.
What made the wedding special and unique?
Being able to spend it with the people who meant the most to us. We had been so busy being new parents we really hadn’t had time to just relax and have fun!
Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!
Originally I found a Berta dress on Pinterest and fell in absolute love! After finding the only vender in all of SoCal to have it, I drove 2 hours to try it on. I ended up HATING it! It looked amazing on the 5’11” brunette model but terrible on little me. I finally gave in and tried on a couple more. This one was it! I loved it and the fact that the skirt was detachable made it even better as I love to dance! I purchased an additional shorter skirt for later in the evening to really dance in.
What were some touches added to make it personal?
We wrote our entire ceremony ourselves so it would really encompass who we are. Writing our vows was super special too! We did an ice-cream party to wrap up the evening too as the bride loves ice-cream and dislikes cake.
What was the most memorable part of the day?
Being able to finally marry one another! We planned our entire wedding originally for May 23rd 2015 only to find out a couple months later that we were expecting a baby! We moved the wedding to September so our son could be a part of our special day.
Tell us how you met and became engaged.
We met on Tinder! We both had only been on it for a couple weeks. After finally deciding to meet up at a local coffee shop, our 15 min coffee date turned into a 3 hour coffee date. It really was love at first sight. After only one month of dating Danny told me (Miranda) he was going to marry me. I totally thought he was kidding. He started having a ring made, asked my parents for their blessing and at our 5 month anniversary he took me back to the coffee shop we met and asked me to marry him! We never in a million years thought we would find “the one” on a dating site but here we are, baby and all!
