Love was in the air—along with some crazy-beautiful blooming trees—at Minh and Matt’s springtime wedding celebration. The couple let the incredibly stunning estate gardens of Glen Magna Farms influence the theme of their day, while Casey of Hello Love Photography captured each special moment (not to mention each beautiful bloom.) We’re super excited to share images from this gorgeous spring celebration.
What made the wedding special and unique?
Having all our family and friends in one place to celebrate with us was what made our wedding truly special. Our families had not met until our wedding weekend so it was such a treat for us to see all our loved ones bonding and having such a great time together at our wedding!
Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!
I must have dragged my wonderful (and very patient) best friend to every bridal boutique in the greater Boston area before we finally found my dress at our very last appointment. My dress was the most comfortable dress out of the dozens I tried on and I loved that it made me feel like myself. I felt like a bride, but also still me
What were some touches added to make it personal?
Most of the details of our wedding were DIY. Matt’s Photoshop skills came in extra handy in designing our invitation suite, we printed the day-of signs and place cards ourselves, and even my simple drop veil was a last minute DIY with one of my bridesmaids.
What was the most memorable part of the day?
The most memorable part of the day for me was our first look. The day itself was a bit of a blur once the ceremony got started so it was so nice to have those few quiet moments to just talk and be together before the celebration really got under way.
Tell us how you met and became engaged.
Matt and I met as college students when I was a freshman and he was an orientation leader. We reconnected the following year when we lived in adjacent dorms and have been together ever since.
Matt knew my fear of public proposals and so opted for a private moment at home followed by a celebratory dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in the city. After dinner, I got another big surprise when we came home to a small engagement party with some of our closest friends!
