Nevermind neutral bridal shoes—we’re totally obsessed with this bride’s pink Manolos. And, of course, the rest of Jesse and Jay’s Nashville wedding at The Cordelle is absolutely lovely as well thanks to adorable florals by Basil and Bergomot Flower Farm, a sweet cake table by Dulce Desserts and all the intimate moments captured by the talented ZoomWorks Photography.
What made the wedding special and unique?
For the ceremony they entered walking down the aisle together, which was very important to them because they made the decision to get married together.
What were some touches added to make it personal?
The old record player in the Bridal Suite was a nice touch.
What was the most memorable part of the day?
Jesse is the great granddaughter of Tennessee Ernie Ford, an American recording artist and television host who enjoyed success in the country and Western, pop, and gospel musical genres in the 50’s and 60’s. His recording of the song ‘Sixteen Tons’ was most memorable.
Tell us how you met and became engaged.
The couple met at law school at the University of Tennessee. They had talked about getting married a lot before Jay actually proposed. It drove Jesse crazy that she had to “wait” for him to propose to her. One night she made a joke about how he was never going to ask. He thought that would be the perfect time and pulled the ring out of his bag and asked her to get married.
