Photographer Lily Glass told us about today's beautiful wedding: Maria and Jason were married at a private ceremony early in the week and then invited their immediate families to celebrate that weekend. They planned a simple ring ceremony in which the guests followed Maria down to an open field where Jason awaited, followed by a fabulous five-course supper. The intimate setting of Skipping Rock Farm (private residence turned artist retreat), provided the perfect setting for their gathering and complemented their aesthetic and value of all things handmade and local just beautifully.
We love that Maria and Jason chose to reinvent tradition with their ceremony. Two versions–one for them and one for their guests–ended up being the perfect way to have their own moment, yet incorporate their guests into their celebration. Their only embellishment to the scene was a piano–a wildly whimsical idea. Our favorite unexpected touch are the neon letters standing next to the barn. Another dreamy touch that works perfectly amidst the humble setting of Skipping Rock Farm.
