Here's what we've figured out. If you want an incredible gorgeous wedding, no matter the season, get married at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Proof: this winter wedding and this spring bonanza wedding here. Both totally gorg. Today is no less, with Sam and Steven's big day. Sam and Steven are two incredibly creative and imaginative people! Sam is a graphic designer and Steven is a merchandise analyst, so when it came to designing their wedding, they went for a relaxed garden party with a fresh, modern feel.
The couple wanted a personal, unique and lighthearted day with emphasis on the whimsy! Sam designed and produced all the paper goods including the invitation suite, programs and signage. They had 'craft nights' with family and friends to make decorations. Flowers were all ordered online wholesale and assembled individually by the girls so that they each got to make their own bouquets and then collaboratively make Sam's. How special is that??? Although it was a spring day in May, it was a foggy, foggy day which made for a heavenly atmosphere and really added to the 'whimsy' feel of the day! Guest favors were customize-able totes! Steven saw the idea in Japan when he was visiting and knew that it would be a great idea for their wedding, so they had the totes at each person's seats and then had a separate 'stamping' station where you could customize it! What fun, right?
