He’s No Frog

Mike and I have the same ole ‘met through friends’ fairytale. I remember being at a friend’s birthday (bridesmaid Annie!) and listening to him tell a story. He made us all laugh, as usual, and I said outloud, “you’re the kind of guy I want to marry, things would never be dull with you!” Five hours later he asked me on our first date. True to form things haven’t been dull since and I am beyond excited to marry such a kind hearted and wonderful man.

When I met Leah I thought she was beautiful and hilarious (a deadly combo). I wanted to marry her immediately but decided to play it cool by taking her on a few dates and buying her a cat. It worked, here we are 2 years later! She is a dream come true and everything I’ve always hoped for in a wife.

Michael surprised me on a Friday morning last summer with, “pack your bags we are leaving town!” He had a full fun-packed day planned. We drove from LA down to San Diego to the Wild Animal Park (I LOVE animals). Two ice cream cones later and a trip around the park I was ushered back up to Laguna Beach to the beautiful Surf and Sand Beach Resort. Mike instructed me to get ready for dinner (a surprise still) and then showed me two tickets to the Pageant of the Masters (an amazing living art show festival). After getting ready for dinner I stepped out onto the balcony. Michael came up from behind and dropped to a knee. I said ‘yes’ immediately. The ring he pulled from his pocket was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. We celebrated with champagne and had a wonderful dinner and show. It was magical and perfect.
