Beth Beattie and Lawson Aschenbach
Our Love Story
Her Story
A family friend set me up on a blind date with Lawson, and there was immediate chemistry. We talked and talked and had a great lunch before he headed out of town. I thought he was so cute and sweet, and we had a lot in common. He called me as soon as he got back, and we have been inseparable since.
When I was little and dreamt of who my husband would be, I couldn’t have wished for a more perfect match. Lawson is my rock. We enjoy life’s happy moments together and are there for each other through the challenging times.
Last October at one of my favorite places, Soho Beach House in Miami, with both of our families there, he asked me to marry him. It’s true – he could hardly get the question out before I blurted "yes!" It was amazing to share that special moment with our families.
I’m so excited to soon be his wife and continue our lives together.
His Story
I still feel like it was just yesterday when Beth and I sat down for a blind lunch date. I knew right away she was someone special and someone I wanted to get to know more.
Almost 5 years later I was able to ask my best friend if she would marry me. To be honest, she said yes before I could even get the words out of my mouth!
We’ve been through some ups and downs, some highs and lows…but one thing never changed…our love for each other.
I’m looking forward to our life as a married couple and there is no other person I could imagine spending the rest of my life with.
The Proposal
We had gone to the Hamptons for a really nice, romantic trip the weekend before and the whole time I thought he was going to do it there. The following weekend, we were going to Miami to meet up with his brother who was flying in for vacation. When we got to Soho Beach House in Miami, I had no idea he and my sister had coordinated to have both of our families down in Cecconi’s, my favorite restaurant. When we walked into the restaurant, I saw both of our families and as he was getting on his knee to ask me to marry him I was already saying yes! To make it even more special, my brother, who has a jewelry store on Worth Ave in Palm Beach, Gregory James Jewelry, designed the ring and it is just perfect! It was so special that he asked me to marry him with both of our families there because they mean so much to us. Even my two year old niece was able to be there. Best night ever!
