Inspiration Shoots and Boards:
Southern Tradition and European Charm
what happens when Georgia meets Italy?
When Jennifer Blair Photography sent over her images of this shoot designed by Amber Veatch Designs we just knew it was a must see! Lady Grey clearly has a weakness for southern charm, so when we saw it combined with European details, as you might imagine, we’re smitten. Who could the combination of fresh blue and white stripes, handmade lace, lemonade, and baguettes. We’re obsessed with the cascade bouquet by Tiffany from Liz Stewart Floral Design (yes, we want the cascade to make a grand re-entrance. #ladygreycomeback.) This team of fab vendors found Italy in the south at Jekyll Island Club Hotel. It is the absolutely loveliest!
From Jennifer Blair:
Our team was inspired by the Southern Elegance of Jekyll Island. We loved the idea of mixing our Southern Culture with a little European Charm and were especially inspired by Crane Cottage, the location for the shoot. It was built by a wealthy business tycoon a the turn of the century and is the most lavish home built on Jekyll. They styled it after Italian Renaissance, which brought our whole vision together. We incorporated Southern elements, like the barn-wood table, lemonade, oak trees and china from my grandmother, and combined it with French elements such as handmade lace, fresh baguettes, an abundance of florals, neutral tones, watercolors, white and blue stripes, etc…
