What better way to celebrate the Fourth of July than with some patriotic wedding inspiration?! This styled elopement by A Beyoutiful Fête Events & Design is set in Washington D.C. with a backdrop of some of our country’s most iconic monuments! Even the cake by Catherine George Cakes features a fondant-design of The Capital—and it’s SUNNING!! We’re also loving the color palette’s spin on the good ol’ red, white and blue—it’s updated with blush pinks, pale blues, with touches of cabernet, gold, and rose gold. So enjoy these beautiful images from Amilia Photography and have a wonderful holiday weekend!!
From the team: The sun was barely coming up over the serene tidal basin in Washington D.C. when our couple held each other close and read sweet vows to each other. This Jefferson Memorial Elopement styled shoot was inspired by the classic architecture of the Memorial, Capitol, and Washington Monument, with a touch of whimsy.
Our color palette was composed of blush pinks, pale blues, with touches of cabernet, gold, and rose gold. The couple’s whimsical pink bike was adorned with beautiful flowers and represents their new adventure into marriage.
Every detail of their elopement was carefully curated and meaningful to the couple. The bride’s bouquet was wrapped with delicate silk ribbon with the calligraphy scripture, “Where you go I will go, where you stay I will stay” (Ruth 1:16) written on it, their vows were beautifully scripted in blue watercolor, and the calligraphy champagne bottle marked the occasion. Shimmery rose gold and pale blue elopement announcements were sent out to their closest friends and family to join them for a brunch fete in celebration.
Their warm-white wedding cake had The Capitol crafted in sugar as well as delicate vines of blush pink sugar roses climbing the two tiers. The white leaves perfectly mirrored the bride’s couture lace gown. The newlyweds shared a sweet picnic on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial, sipped on celebratory champagne, and cut their beautiful wedding cake with the Washington Memorial as their backdrop. It doesn’t get more classically romantic than this!
