There’s nothing quite like a stand-out bouquet or a fab color palette and this enchanting inspiration shoot, styled and coordinated by Two Be Wed, nails both. The moody, old-world vibe of the details was inspired by original fairy tails and the timeless qualities they represent. The palette is deep and rich with lush florals by Bramble and Bee and Silk and Willow and a knock-out stationery suite by Artful Designs by Rachel Nieman. The ornate, beaded Hayley Paige gown gives the shoot a current, textural vibe while the gilded touches add a timeless elegance. Luke and Cat Photography worked their magic behind the lens to capture all the beautiful details for us to share.
From Catherine Duffin, Stylist: For our version of a fairy tale wedding we drew inspiration from the original Brothers Grimm stories and embraced the moodier side of their tales. Our vision was to create a wedding that looked as though it were stuck in time—as ancient as the fairy tales themselves—while at the same time appealing to the modern bride seeking a fresh take on a fairy tale wedding. A darker color palette sets the stage for drama while the gilded details throughout the shoot stay true to the fairy tale look. The overgrown ruins of castles inspired the greenery spilling across the table and growing up the backdrop, as though they were remnants of a bygone era stuck in time. With its graceful details and a gown fit for a queen, it’s a wedding that beckons to the tales of old.
