We’re loving every last, industrial-chic detail of Julia and Bobby’s gorgeous wedding at Beatnik Studios . The vintage-inspired engagement ring, the cascading florals and the raw, wood and metal textures throughout the gallery venue. And, of course, the bride and groom are totally stunning—especially in the super-editorial portraits by Josselyn Peterson. We know you’re going to love this one as much as we do!
What made the wedding special and unique?
A wise soul advised me to go into your wedding day like you were writing a book about it. The entirety of the book would be solely about every detail of the day. They directed me to mentally note every taste, every sound, every feeling, every smell, every moment. It is so easy for the human brain to take special moments for granted. It takes great effort to consciously stay in the present moment and to enjoy it to its fullest. This piece of advice – to write a book about my wedding day – was the greatest gift someone could have given me. It helped me to live fully through each minute and to soak it up to its entirety.
What was the most memorable part of the day?
My husband and I did things a little differently – We were officially married April 19, 2014 with an audience of about 15. We decided to have our full Ceremony and “party” one year later on our anniversary. I would recommend this to everyone! It relieved so much stress of the day and did not take away the specialness of the event. I can honestly say it was the best day of my life, marrying my best friend again!
