I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Courtney Pino of Loblolly Farm designed this editorial to highlight how couples can incorporate their cultural heritage into their event design. To celebrate a Mexican/American heritage, Courtney styled with bright colors and let her floral design take the lead. Seasonal, early summer blooms of dahlia, garden rose, peony, cosmos and zinnia, steal the show in their stunning bold, summer palette. Traditional patterns, prints and bold colors brought out the essence of the American Southwest and its Mexican influence. The vibrance of the terra-cotta orange with pops of rich blues stuns in the invitations byWith Wild and Grace and on the tabletop. Photographer Kim Branagan capture all the details (including some pretty fab bridal accessories) in these fun, film images.

Lindsey and Keith’s romance started when they were growing up in small-town Ohio and continued for ten years of long distance. Keith proposed on the Top of the Rock at the Rockefeller Center shortly after making the big apple their home and the couple celebrated with a big bash in their home town. This shoot, however, is a post-wedding portrait series at New York Public Library captured by Lauren Galloway  with florals by Designs By Ahn and it’s just so, so beautiful.

While growing up in their small hometown of Osgood, Ohio, Lindsey & Keith met, fell in love and had a long distance relationship for many years as they both followed their career paths. Keith actually lived across the street from Lindsey’s Grandparent’s house while growing up and moved to her school in the third grade.

During college, Lindsey had internships that took her to England working at Alexander McQueen to the Gap in San Fransisco. Though her career in fashion took her to many different cities, they kept their long distance relationship going over 10 years. A few years ago they moved to New York City to start this new chapter of their lives together.

Keith proposed on the Top of the Rock at the Rockefeller Center shortly after making the big apple their home. It was a long time coming! With their roots still in Osgood, they choose their hometown to get married in, to be able to celebrate with all their family, friends and the entire community residents, around 300 guests!

With NYC being their home, it made sense to take one more couple’s shoot after the wedding. Without having to worry about the rush of a wedding day, they got back into the dress and suit, and we took beautiful morning portraits at the New York Public Library on 5th Avenue. It’s an iconic landmark that made for a stunning setting. Designs by Ahn created a delicate, organic bouquet for this shoot with a mixture of pinks, yellows and deep burgundy.

Her bridal jacket was made for a shot like the ones we took along 5th Avenue!  Lindsey had hand painted her new last name with a DIY kit by Bash Creative Design on a modern white leather jacket to wear at her reception. She also gifted black leather jackets to her bridesmaids each with their name hand painted on the inside collar. You would expect to see amazing style like this for a fashion designer’s wedding, like her Liz Martinez gown with placed lace and sheer bell sleeves, she nailed it!

Design and planning team Olea & Fig set out to capture the unique natural and surreal landscape of Southeast Asia—an escape from digital information overload, the chaos of urban living. The dreamlike styled shoot took place at Yangmingshan in Taipei, Taiwan. Working with Catnip Flower Studio, they portrayed an unexpected natural beauty with withering leaves, bare twigs, the moody yet lovely feather-like reed grass in a palette of  muted earthy tones paired with deep, rich pinks and purples. It’s an interpretation of a fairytale fantasy during a calm, serene wintertime on an island, and captured beautifully by The Stage Photography.
