I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

This lovely autumnal-inspired shoot is a perfect way to bid farewell to the fall. It celebrates everything that makes it such a beautiful season— like the gathered florals and turning foliage by Swoon Floral Design, the layering of raw textures like the gorge gown by Claire La Faye and we love the subtle golden accents in the awesome cake by Little Red’s Bake Shop and calligraphy invitations by Hey Halle. Thankfully Jamie Rae Photo was there with her camera to capture it all in these beautiful film photographs.

We think you will too.

As we near the end of fall, this gorgeous, woodsy styled shoot by L. brook events feels absolutely perfect. Obviously, we’re obsessed with the show-stealing fall bouquet by Pollen Floral Design—that pop of a yellow rose amongst the gathered aubergine foliage is unexpectedly beautiful and combined with the dramatic blue ribbons the effect is so romantic. And that textured Sarah Janks dress is perfection. Thankfully, Ashleigh Coleman captured all the gorgeous details with her dreamy film photography style.

From the team: The rich visual dichotomy of deep, moody woods meeting a rock strewn shoreline, coupled with a man’s love for his bride, inspired us to evoke those emotions—ardor, wonder, depth. The varied hues of the coastline with hints of rich and lush seasonal berries also spoke to our design. Thus, an ancient ocean cottage, situated on island point where the Damariscotta River empties out along Maine’s rocky coastline, with its emerald collar of ancient balsams and giant ferns, provided a perfect backdrop for Claire and Maxwell’s love to flourish.

Looking at these gorgeous images by Byron Loves Fawn is like indulging in a nice, frothy (whole milk) latte. The details dreamt up by Victoria Cameron are so lovely and airy. Perfect for fall, the monochromatic mocha-inspired color scheme is so fresh and the layering of textures throughout the shoot feels so current—not to mention gorgeous! Definitely pause for a minute to enjoy these images with you afternoon café au lait.

Tell us about the shoot:

My most recent inspiration has been still life paintings by the masters. I have been draw to these paintings depicting aspects of the natural world. Many floral still lives, for instance, show combinations of flowers, lavish banquet tables set with partially uneaten meals, interrupted midcourse by the creatures of the season. I then began to think, why not create this in a modern day scene?

How did it all come together?

As I prepared references for the shoot, many master still lives are dark and moody. I thought it would be quite an interesting approach, being that my work is light and airy. I found the perfect combination of vendors to help express my vision. The main color scheme directly taken from the Carol Hannah gown was creamy white with accents of gray, silver, gold and blush. I am truly even more inspired after this shoot. From the incredible rings, the grand tablescape, and our newest friend Gregory the parrot; this is a still life brought to life.

According to Becca of Rebecca Rose Events, one of the area best kept secrets of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains is The Twickenham House. This historic property in Jefferson, North Carolina, requires quite a trek up the mountain on a steep and narrow road, but the scene that awaits at the summit looks like something straight out of a work of great literature. We couldn’t agree more and are so delighted to share this incredibly gorgeous inspiration shoot put together by Rebecca Rose Events and shot by the ever amazing Terilyn & Koby Brown, Archetype Studios.
