Not that you’ll ever want to take it off once he puts a ring on it, but a Lady does need a place to store her gems. (And so do guys!)
Are you as paranoid as I am about losing your ring? Whenever I take it off to put on moisturizer (that’s the only time I take it off, I’m tough on my jewels) I want somewhere to safely store it. Those little jewelry-store boxes just aren’t nice enough to display. And since we move around and travel a lot, I want a ring box that’s pretty and lasts for years.
Luckily there are a lot of options out there for the ladies: purpose made boxes, seashells, antique makeup cases. I can’t decide between this fortune cookie and this wooden geometric box for my ring. What do you think?
On the other hand, it’s kind of hard to find nice ring boxes for men (if you have any suggestions, send ‘em my way!) But pillboxes can totally do double-duty as ring boxes, and I love this industrial steel one. And isn’t that Lego box fun? I think my fiancé, Mike, would love it (he’s a kid at heart).
Please help me chose which ones to get! I’d love to hear your suggestions.
Psst…you can read all about how he put a ring on it the Proposals section! And don’t forget to check back soon for more about a new wedding band tradition my beau and I are starting, what went in our prenup, and what it’s like to go wedding dress shopping in the Mediterranean!
