James and Nicole’s elopement at Grant Humphreys Mansion

“We were together. I forget the rest.” is a quote by Walt Whitman that photographer Amy Caroline dedicated to James and Nicole for their adorable elopement shoot. The couple spent years long-distance and celebrated their marriage with a light, airy and classic city-chic photo shoot. The palette was soft and neutral with creams, grey and a touch of natural greenery in the gorgeous florals by Ladybird Poppy Floral Design.  Amy Caroline Photography captures all of the details, the historic backdrop and the couple’s love with bright, happy style.

Denver has the perfect mix of chic classic buildings and edgy modern architecture. For these two, the classic architecture of Grant Humphreys was the perfect backdrop for them. “We were together. I forget the rest.” is a quote by Walt Whitman that I’ve dedicated to these two. Life always throws unexpected curve balls, but knowing you have someone by your side through it all allows you to forget it all, and just be together. It seems quite simple to be together when you are married and in love, but for these two long-distance has been a much closer friend than they would have liked. We wanted to set this up as a fabulous mini-wedding for James and Nicole to truly celebrate the two of them (although they were married back in August 2015). This time they got to say their vows and know that they would officially start their lives together forever here in Colorado.
