Katie and James’ wedding at Stonover Farm is the absolute epitome of rustic elegance adn planned to perfection by the incredible Mstarr Design. The historic location is relaxed but stately, the barn reception feels cozy and inviting, the Patina Rentals + New England Country Rentals are beautifully curated with a french countryside vibe, and the florals…oh my the florals. Petal Floral Design knocked this one out of the park with breathtaking details like giant greenery draped chandeliers, a smattering of roses on the arbor and textured, peony-filled bouquets that screamed spring. If a romantic rustic celebration is what you’re looking for than your going to love Judy Pak Photography’s beautiful fine art images of this gorgeous event.
from the bride: Once we decided that we would be getting married in the Berkshires at Stonover Farm, we knew the type of wedding we wanted to have (elegant but still rustic and comfortable for our guests), but I also knew we would need help making sure the design came together since the venue came empty (and we were also designing from scratch at our welcome dinner at my parents’ house).
I ended up finding most of our vendors online by scouring wedding blogs and seeing whose work we liked best. I became obsessed with all of the weddings that Emily and MStarr had done. Lucky for us, she was available! I found Judy the same way. James and I met with her in New York and I knew she would be great to work with in addition to creating the most beautiful photographs. We weren’t having a videographer, so the photos were really important to us. The end product is beyond what we could have imagined.
I truly enjoyed the planning process (or at least most of it!). Emily took my vision and made it 100% better! Everything came together perfectly in the end — it didn’t rain (there was a very stressful forecast of rain that kept changing), our ceremony went off without a hitch, the band was great and kept everyone dancing the whole night, and we ended the evening with my favorite food, s’mores, and a bonfire (and some pretty amazing fried chicken sandwiches that were a big hit with our guests). Both James and I had the best time and were overwhelmed in the best way possible by the love and happiness of our family and friends.
from event planner: Katie and James’ June wedding in the Berkshires was one of those special occasions where everything just comes together perfectly. One of our favorite couples, favorite venues, favorite vendors and overall favorite vision and design. They wanted to stick to a clean, romantic, elegant feel for their wedding, with a tiny dose of whimsy mixed in! From Petal’s lush florals that screamed spring, custom calligraphy and artwork from Jenny Sanders that adorned various paper goods to the unique rental items provided by Patina Rentals in New York, it was a perfect storm of beauty. Thank goodness we had the mastermind known as Judy Pak there to capture every last detail flawlessly.
And it certainly didn’t hurt that we had the most beautiful weather that day! It only made the grounds at Stonover stand out even more, providing the most perfect backdrop for the day’s events.
