My new, very darling photographer friend, Sarah Hasstedt sent over this perfectly adorable Christmas engagement session that will, let’s be real, make you wish you lived in Colorado. Because apparently, cutting down your own Christmas tree is a total mountain tradition. Sarah explained:
A big Christmas tradition for Coloradans is heading to the mountains the weekend after Thanksgiving to National Forest land to cut down their family Christmas tree. It is a tradition that is beneficial to our forests as the National Forest workers would have to periodically thin it out anyway to reduce fire danger. Many families and couples love this tradition and will pack thermoses of hot chocolate and bundle up since it is typically only 10 degrees in the mountain air.
Sans that 10 degree thing, I think the idea sounds like perfection–especially for a newly minted couple!
